Adjustable Steel Mounting Chocks
Our solution
Self-leveling and height-adjustable SKF Vibracon chocks provide a simple and precise solution for attaching rotating machinery to base frames, steel foundations, or plates.
These chocks effectively prevent Soft Foot, a common issue where improper contact between a machine casing and its supporting baseplate occurs, ensuring optimal alignment and stability.
SKF Vibracon chocks are versatile, with applications ranging from industrial settings to marine and offshore environments. They can adjust for up to four degrees of angular misalignment between the mounting base and the machine foot’s bottom. This flexibility eliminates the need for costly machining of skid bases and milling blocks, frequent shimming, and the extended effort and curing time associated with epoxy resin chocks.

Empower with automation
The innovative design of SKF Vibracon chocks features a spherical top plate that swivels to self-level and a threaded center part that screws into a threaded bottom ring. This design compensates for angular variances in mounting surfaces, increasing the contact surface between the foundation, chock, and machine foot. The vertical adjustment mechanism allows for a broad range of height adjustments to accommodate various equipment setups.
These features make installation straightforward and minimize downtime. By combining self-leveling and height adjustment capabilities, Soft Foot is effectively eliminated, ensuring secure and efficient mounting for rotating machinery.
